Support Afro-Latina Jefas Grant
Deadline: August 18, 2021
Award Amount: a $5,000 grant to two Afro-Latina small business owners ($2,500 each) to uplift and scale their business.
Location: Nationwide
Qualifications:

Have at least one Afro-Latina founder

Be a legal U.S. for-profit business

Have been in business for at least one year

Be at least 18 years of age and a legal resident of the United States (including the District of Columbia and U.S. territories)

FOUNDERS FIRST JOB CREATORS QUEST GRANT PHILADELPHIA/NEW JERSEY

Award Amount: A total of $60,000 ($50K cash + scholarships) will be awarded to 20 small
businesses: (2) $10,000 grant (2) $4,000 grant; (4) $2,500 grants; (12) $1,000 grants plus each grant recipient will receive a tuition scholarship for one of Founders First CDC’s stellar business accelerator programs.
Location: Philadelphia County, Camden County, Mercer County, and Essex County in NJ and PA
Qualifications:

Must be located in the Philadelphia/New Jersey metro area (Philadelphia, Camden, Burlington, Mercer, Morris, and Essex Counties)

Must have a current staff of 2-20 employees

Will have the ability to add 1-2+ net new premium wage jobs in the next 12 months

Founder must be Black, Indigenous, Person of Color, LGBTQIA+, Military Veteran, Woman, or located in a Low to Moderate Income area

Be a for-profit company with annual revenues between $100K and $3 million
What you should know:
Criteria being used for selecting the companies.
They will evaluate the applications submitted based on the strength of their ability to create 1-
2 new jobs within the next 12 months, complete and clear submission of information with
documentation on their business, and how the companies are going to leverage the grant
funds to create new jobs.
What companies can apply for this program?
The company must be diverse-led, meaning founders that are people of color, women, LGBTQ
community, military veterans, or their business is located in a low or moderate-income area.
They also need to be a revenue-generating business of $100K to $3M per year, have at least
two employees seeking to grow, and will add 1- 2 new jobs in 12 to 24 months.
How are payments disbursed for grantees?
The grant amount will be disbursed in two installments less payment toward the program
accelerator tuition cost. Half of the net grant amount will be disbursed up to 30 days after
signed terms and conditions, W-9, and set up of payment disbursement system is confirmed.
The remaining portion will be disbursed up to 30 days after the completion of the business’
participation in the eligible accelerator program.
